Nueces County Residential Values Increase 13.1%

  Property tax assessments for homes were increased by 13.1% for the tax year 2021, based on a review of 13,299 homes valued by the Nueces Appraisal District.  Homes valued at $1 million or higher had the largest increases, an average of 14.6% higher than 2020. Review of 13,299 homes valued at $300,000 or indicates an increase in assessed value of $5.6 billion, up 12.1% from $6.2 billion in 2021.  Total property taxes for 2021 for homes valued over $300,000 would total $173.5 million, based on a 2.7% tax rate before considering homestead exemptions. Nueces has 531 homes valued at $1 million or higher.  They are valued at $0.74 billion in 2021, up from $0.65 billion in 2020.  Values were increased for 434 homes, reduced for 77 homes, and remained flat for 20 homes. Midland County Residential Values Increase 7.8%

  Property tax assessments for homes were increased by 7.8% for the tax year 2021, based on a review of 16,564 homes valued by the Midland Appraisal District.  Homes valued at $1 million or higher had the largest increases, average 8.7% higher than 2020. Review of 16,564 homes valued at $300,000 or indicates an increase in assessed value of $7.21 billion, up 8.03% from 7.79 billion in 2021.  Total property taxes for 2021 for homes valued over $300,000 would total $214.6 million, based on a 2.7% tax rate before considering homestead exemptions. Midland has 609 homes valued at $1 million or higher.  They are valued at $0.82 billion in 2021, up from $0.76 billion in 2020.  Values were increased for 567 homes, reduced for 35 homes, and remained flat for 7 homes. McLennan County Residential Values Increase 13.9%

  Property tax assessments for homes were increased by 13.9% for the tax year 2021, based on a review of 12,833 homes valued by McLennan Appraisal District.  Homes valued at $1 million or higher had the largest increases, average 16.3% higher than 2020. Review of 12,833 homes valued at $300,000 or indicates an increase in assessed value of $4.65 billion, up 12.7% from 5.25 billion in 2021.  Total property taxes for 2021 for homes valued over $300,000 would total $161.1 million, based on a 2.7% tax rate before considering homestead exemptions. McLennan has 363 homes valued at $1 million or higher.  They are valued at $0.41 billion in 2021, up from $0.35 billion in 2020.  Values were increased for 308 homes, reduced for 15 homes, and remained flat for 40 homes.   Property tax assessments for homes were increased by 29.8% for the tax year 2021, based on a review of 8,816 homes valued by the Johnson Appraisal District. Homes valued at $1 million or higher had the largest increases, average 75.7% higher than 2020. Review of 8,816 homes valued at $300,000 or indicates an increase in assessed value of $2.59 billion, up 26.3% from 3.28 billion in 2021.   Property tax assessments for homes were increased by 22.6% for the tax year 2021, based on a review of 208,190 homes valued by Travis Appraisal District. Homes valued at $1 million or higher had the largest increases, average 27.5% higher than 2020. Review of 208,190 homes valued at $300,000 or indicates an increase in assessed value of $105.05 billion, up 15.07% from 120.89 billion in 2021.   Property tax assessments for homes were increased by 15.09% for the tax year 2021, based on a review of 7,377 homes valued by the Hidalgo Appraisal District.  Homes valued at $1 million or higher had the largest increases, average 16.5% higher than 2020. Review of 7,377 homes valued at $300,000 or indicates an increase in assessed value of $2.75 billion, up 12.6% from 3.10 billion in 2021.  Total property taxes for 2021 for homes valued over $300,000 would total $86.72 million, based on a 2.7% tax rate before considering homestead exemptions.   Property tax assessments for homes were increased by 17.5% for the tax year 2021, based on a review of 28,561 homes valued by the Hays Appraisal District.  Homes valued at $500,000 to $1,000,000 had the largest increases, average 18.54% higher than 2020. Review of 28,561 homes valued at $300,000 or indicates an increase in assessed value of $12.06 billion, up 16.4% from 14.04 billion in 2021.  Total property taxes for 2021 for homes valued over $300,000 would total $175.6 million, based on a 2.7% tax rate before considering homestead exemptions.
